Small Homemade Christmas Gifts
Christmas Ornaments + Home for Christmas Wall Hanging
Christmas Ornaments and wall hangings are one of my favorite ways to decorate for Christmas. Ornaments can also serve as coasters and gift tags, and a small Christmas wall hanging is a quick and fun decor item that doesn’t require as much time as a full-sized Christmas Quilt. Find all of the details on my ornaments and Christmas wall hanging below.
Patchwork Christmas Stockings
Patchwork Christmas Stockings are a favorite of mine to make for family and friends. Visit my tutorial for all of the details for making your own patchwork Christmas stocking including a free stocking template and a video tutorial.
Christmas Tree Pillow
Another fast and fun tutorial on my blog is one I did several years ago for a Christmas Tree Pillow. Find all of the details to make your pillow–these pillows make wonderful gifts, and you can always add an extra border if you want to make it a bit larger.
Christmas Mug Rug
A Christmas Mug Rug is another perfect gift idea for the holidays. I made the one above using a mix of our fabrics and love it. Gift it with a mug or gift a set of two or more. (Note: the Mug Rug pattern also comes with directions for the Christmas Tree Pillow pattern).
Quilted Tree Skirt
I love Christmas tree skirts and still remember the very first patchwork tree skirt I made the first Christmas after I got married. I remember going to Cloth World, picking out a variety of Christmas prints, and carefully cutting squares with scissors and a cardboard template. (Boy have cutting methods improved since then)!
Patchwork Christmas Placemats
I do love a good placemat! And for the Christmas season, there is nothing more fun than a Christmas placemat. Mine above are made in our Favorite Things fabrics and have a fun plaid backing so they are reversible. Both the tree and star versions are included in the pattern.
Christmas Mini Quilt
This Christmas Mini Quilt is terrific to use for a mug rug, small table topper, or pillow front. I’ve got all of the instructions for you to make your own in your favorite Christmas fabrics. (Plus, this little project is perfect for other holiday prints and everyday collections, too).
Christmas Table Runner
I’ve also got a free tutorial for a simple Christmas Table Runner. The tutorial is shared in two separate posts. Find them both below:
Patchwork Christmas Pillow Shams
Patchwork Christmas pillow shams are another fun handmade project idea for your Christmas decor and gift-giving. I have a simple tutorial here on the blog you can use to make yours.
Christmas Runner and Lap Quilt
The Christmas runner pictured above is a free pattern. And…this pattern also includes a lap quilt version.

I love your ideas, your podcasts. But – there are so many popup ads I can hardly see the content. I know you need these, but there must be a better way. There are so many you can hardly close them in time before another ad pop ups. It is very frustrating.

I’m not sure what platform you are viewing on…phone, iPad, computer etc. But for me the ads do seem more minimal on a computer as opposed to another device. Hope that might help. Thank you!
