Favorite Quilted Bag Patterns

Today I’m super excited about sharing my Favorite Quilted Bag Patterns plus lots of resources for expert bag making. I just finished up another bag for Quilt Market which inspired this post in order to put all of these fun projects in one place for you. Quilters need not be intimidated by bag patterns because they are actually super easy to make. Most all of the bags I’m sharing today have tutorials or videos, and some of them also include a free pattern. I’m also sharing my favorite bag making resources and basic tips for bag construction, so keep reading for a good variety of bag ideas and helpful information.

Large Bags and Totes

I do love a great bag or tote and have some definite favorites! The three bags I’m linking here all require patterns but can all easily be made by confident sewers. I would say the Aubri Tote is the easiest to make followed by the Quilter’s Big Tote and the Raspberry Summer Tote. The Aubri tote features a magnetic closure option while the Raspberry Summer Tote has a zipper flap.

Medium + Project Bags

Below you’ll find some of my favorite medium sized bags and project bags–I love each and every one!

• Minki Kim Sun Patch Crossbody Bag–I just finished up this one using our Raspberry Summer collection. It is my favorite of this style and the one I would recommend starting with (Minki also has a YouTube tutorial for this design).
• Another similar crossbody bag I like is the Athena Crossbody Bag–I made several of these last fall using our Strawberry Lemonade fabrics.
