Hello, friends! Today I’m sharing one of my newest finishes, a Quilter’s Large Patchwork Tote in our Raspberry Summer Fabric collection. I absolutely loved making this very large tote. Of course, I immediately had to make a coordinating pouch for it, and I’ve got additional information for you on more of my favorite bags, totes, and small pouch patterns.

Quilter’s Large Tote in Raspberry Summer Fabrics
A couple of weeks ago as I was packing for a sewing/cabin trip I decided to last-minute throw in a few Raspberry Summer Mini Charm packs and this new Quilter’s Big Tote pattern I had been gifted by Minki Kim. I ended up with enough time to sew together the patchwork front on my trip and couldn’t wait to make the bag when I returned home. Here are a few takeaways from my sewing:
- First, you can find the pattern for the Quilter’s Big Tote here.
- Next, you’ll definitely want to watch Minki’s video if you’re making the bag. She shares each step of the process (and the music is soothing and fun to listen to while you watch her sew).
- I used Soft & Stable for my bag stabilizer and quilted straight lines about ⅝″ apart as Minki suggested.
- I used one print for the back of my bag, but it would have been super cute to make the front and back patchwork. I was just too impatient 🙂
- I also used this strapping for my handles.
This really is a BIG tote finishing at 16″ x 20″ x 6″–it will hold all of the things and is going to be great for trips and when you need to take a lot. I highly recommend this pattern.
Mini Charm Pouch in Raspberry Summer Fabrics
Of course, as soon as I finished the big tote, I decided that I needed a smaller coordinating pouch to corral smaller things inside my tote. (I also thought having them both would be cute to display in our quilt market booth this month). So, I made one of the Moda Mini Charm Bags with Raspberry Summer and absolutely love it! I had to add one of our new Dresden Mini Charms to my zipper pull, too!
Raspberry Summer Hexagon Charm Medium Tote
For a wonderful medium-sized tote, my favorite is my Hexagon Charm Tote (also in our Raspberry Summer Fabrics). This is a roomy medium tote that also holds a lot. This tote finishes at 16″ wide x 11.5″ tall x 3.5″ deep and can be made with one charm pack. I also used Soft & Stable for this tote and 1″ strapping for my handles. You can find the pattern for the Hexagon Charm Medium Tote here.
