Hello, friends! Today I’m sharing the Top Quilting Posts of 2024 from my blog. It’s that time of year when I’m looking back at the year and reviewing what worked and what didn’t go so well. I always love seeing what the most-read posts were over the course of the year. While there are quite a few posts from previous years that are still getting read widely, it’s most fun to see which of my 2024 articles really resonated with my readers.
Top Quilting Posts of 2024 | A Quilting Life
1. Quilt Block of the Month
My quilt block of the month posts are generally the most well-read posts of each month. This makes my heart happy because I really enjoy doing these free patterns each year. 2025 will mark my 9th year, and I’m super excited about that quilt project as well.
2. Heart of the Home Log Cabin Quilt
My Heart of the Home Log Cabin quilt is definitely one of my favorites ever. Not only did it grace the cover of American Patchwork & Quilting, but it also has been a favorite of many of our readers and viewers. I’m so grateful for your love of this design! While this quilt was called “Heart of the Home” in the magazine, it’s now available as a stand-alone pattern in paper and PDF with its original name “Summer House.”
3. New Scrappy Trip Quilt
This one was a total surprise. In fact, I’m super happy this made the list because it had kind of fallen off my list of projects. I can’t wait to keep going with this quilt and plan to start making more blocks asap.
4. Half-Square Triangle Scrappy Quilt
I’ve now made this quilt several times, and I have loved each and every one of my versions. I was happy to share the patterns again on the blog this year and even happier to have the pattern now available in a booklet format.
5. Free Quilted Pillow Patterns + Tips for Pillows
I do love my quilted pillows, and it was definitely time to write a roundup post where readers can find all of my free quilted pillow patterns along with tips for pillow-making in general.
6. HST Pillow
I finished up my Raspberry Summer Pillow just in time for quilt market this year. This free pattern is a good one with two different setting options included.
7. Moda Blockheads 5 Quilt Finish
Finishing up my Moda Blockheads 5 quilt was a big goal for me–and with our crazy busy spring I wasn’t sure I was going to get it done. I’m super happy with this one as it completely captures the way Strawberry Lemonade, Laguna Sunrise, and Raspberry Summer work together.
8. Small Homemade Christmas Gifts
I love making small projects and gifts for those I love. This is another of those roundup posts I was excited to share with you. There is definitely a lot of inspiration here! I’ve actually been utilizing some of the ideas on this post in the recent past, too!
9. Stars in Summer Runner
This was a favorite summer make–and it goes together so quickly. Watch for my Christmas version coming soon! I can hardly wait to share it with you.
10. Sewing Room Refresh
It seems I’m constantly working on my sewing room in one way or another. This summer I was able to change up the furniture a little bit and make my room feel more open while at the same time creating more storage. It’s always a work in progress, but I’m loving the direction!
11. Harbor Row Quilt
Harbor is definitely my favorite row quilt of all of the ones I have sewn. I’m super exited to be sharing a sew along with this pattern when the Raspberry Summer collection ships in February–stay tuned for more details as the fabric gets closer to arriving in shops.
12. Free Quilting Organizing Printables
And finally–it sure made my heart happy that this roundup of organizing printables made the top twelve! I love organizing and sharing tips and ideas with other quilters, so this one is a special post for me! Definitely watch for more of these coming in 2025.
So, there it is…the 2024 top blog posts in a nutshell. Of course, there are others I would have like to include…but I definitely think this gives one a nice feel for the topics I shared over the year.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this roundup of the A Quilting Life Top Quilting Posts of 2024. Happy quilting!
