Hello, friends! Today I’m sharing my Fireflies Fat Eighth quilt in our Raspberry Summer fabrics. This delightful quilt is one of my favorites. Not only is the design versatile enough to use with any type of fabric collection, but it is also beginner friendly. Keep reading for all of the details and to watch the video for this design.

Fireflies Fat Eighth Quilt
Fireflies Quilt Details
The Fireflies quilt finishes at 64″ x 77 ½″ making it just a really nice sized quilt. You’ll need at least 20 fat eighths for the blocks, but I used more to have a little more variety. I also used ¾ yard of the large floral for the accent in all of my blocks. (You could mix this up and use a variety of prints for this if you wanted). My quilt was beautifully pieced by my friend Nancy Lane and quilted by my friend Marion Bott.

Watch the Fireflies video above or watch it on our YouTube channel. In the video I share the quilt and give additional information and details. You’ll also be able to see the blocks and quilting up close.

I love churn dash quilts. Is it possible to make this with a layer cake? Thanks for your beautiful fabrics and ideas.

You would need some extra fabric…one Layer cake won’t quite be enough. But if you had the contrast fabric and a few fat quarters you might be able to get the rest from the Layer Cake depending on your fabric placements.
