Hello, friends! Today I’m sharing the Sewcialites 2 Quilt Block 7. This week’s block is the most darling butterfly block designed by Pat Sloan and titled “Butterfly Garden.” I’m making the 3″ finished blocks and was a little worried about all of the tiny pieces for this week–but I’m happy with how it turned out!

Block 7 Details, Tips & More
For this week’s block I used red and green prints from our Emma collection and our upcoming Simply Delightful group. Using the Mini Simple Folded Corners Ruler was especially helpful while sewing with so many very small pieces. It was also helpful to lay out all of my fabrics in the correct place and work on just one quadrant of the butterfly at a time. If you’re making the smallest size blocks (or even the 6″ blocks) you will find helpful tips for sewing small blocks in this post. And go here for the PDF pattern or click on the button below for this week’s block PDF from Fat Quarter Shop.
