Hello, friends! Today I’m sharing the Scrappy Half Square Triangle Quilt Blocks 20 + 21 with my block photos and the PDF download for this week’s block layouts. We are nearing the end of the blocks, and I’m loving all of these different options for scrap layouts. Keep reading for this week’s block details and more!

Block 20 + 21 Details
First, let me say I really loved this week’s blocks! I did color blocking on both blocks and really love how they both turned out! When I went to prepare the PDF for this week’s block, though I did notice that this week’s block 21 is a reverse image to the layout for block 8 and that the diagram in the PDF for block 8 doesn’t match the block I sewed that week. So, if you’ve been following along based on my images be sure you do that this month. And if you’ve been using the PDF layouts or the pattern layouts, continue to do that. (This week’s layout in the PDF for block 21 will actually match the photo of block 8. I hope that isn’t too confusing).
How to Sew Along
Sewing along is simple! I won’t be sharing any more videos until my quilt is finished up, but I’ll be sharing the block designs here weekly on Fridays. Find two new blocks per week each Friday until the final set of blocks are shared on Friday, June 20th! The block layout patterns are free and can be downloaded here each week, and the full pattern with block and quilt construction details and two different layout options is available in my shop. Tips for Half Square Triangles
- Make half-square triangles my favorite way by sizing up and trimming to your desired size.
- Use half-square triangle paper in your preferred size to make several identical half square triangles at a time.
- Use project left-overs as I’ve done in sewing triangles together from other projects and then trim as needed.
Next Week’s Blocks
Be sure to stop by next Friday for the next pair of blocks in the Scrappy Half Square Triangle Quilt.
Happy quilting!
