Hello, friends! I’m stopping in today to share my May 2024 Favorites. May was a super busy month with our oldest son’s wedding, a fun trip to Texas for work and fun, and preparing for another work trip this month. Keep reading for all of my favorites from the month.

Most Read Posts
Not a lot of surprises for the most-read posts this month. It seems everyone is enjoying the Quilting Life Block of the Month, Moda Blockheads 5, and my scrappy HST sew along. (And yes, there will be another scrappy project I’ll be sharing later this summer when I’ve finished sharing the HST blocks). Most-read posts for the month are listed below:

Made in May
The first part of May was spent finishing up the bindings for our Family Favorites book quilts and making the three pillows and three smaller pillows also included in the book. Everything was finished by May 15th when we left for Texas. After that I started sewing some small projects with the strike offs for our next collection (I couldn’t wait for our sample yardage to begin sewing with this group). Sample yardage has now arrived, though, and I’ll be busy sewing with it for the next month or so!
Five Things I’m Loving Right Now
- Family…as I mentioned earlier, it was a happy day for our family when our oldest son married his best friend and sweetheart! The newlyweds planned the entire wedding and reception themselves and did an amazing job. A lovely time was had by all!
- Fat Quarter Shop…Chelsi and I traveled to Austin, Texas and the surrounding area to be at the photo shoot for our upcoming book Family Favorites. We also enjoyed getting to spend time with the Fat Quarter Shop team and also appeared on Kimberly’s Livestream. We did have a long delay in the airport on the way home, but luckily there are lots of good eats in the Austin airport. (See more about our trip on this post).
- Fun Finds…I love this new makeup organizer I got for my bathroom counter. But it would also be amazing to organize quilting tools and notions! I also ordered these 8 oz. mini stoneware pots for serving desserts and individual portions for dinner. (I have the matching stoneware dishes and love them). I’ve also been enjoying the CutterPillar products sent to me for review. Lights + cutting mats are such a game changer! See my product video here and shop CutterPillar products with my discount code AQUILTINGLIFE here.
- New Jeans…I got these trendy jeans after seeing so many people recommend them…and I LOVE them! They are super comfortable and stylish. I did size down one size to get the perfect fit–they have some stretch in them.
- Skin Care…We live in the desert where the temperature and lack of humidity is hard on the skin. I’ve been absolutely loving the Anti-Aging Body Balm and the Body Butter together–I use them after every shower.
Just a Few More Things
Stay tuned for some fun things coming mid-summer. I’ll be sewing like crazy the next few weeks to get everything ready to share! And finally, thanks so much for stopping by to read my May 2024 Favorites post. If you’re looking for more of my favorites from previous months, you can find all of the earlier posts in this series here.

I caught up by doing the June 2024 BOM. Doing the 8″ block is challenging but I am really enjoying doing it. Thank you for great blocks. I am using Emma and Seashore Drive with some scraps from your other line, Bountiful Blooms (I think). Your colors all enhance each other and I love it.
