Hello, friends! Today I’m sharing The Best of June + July 2024: Favorites. I know it’s August, but there has been so much going on this summer that I’m finally able to take a breather and share some things that have been on the list. June and July were crazy busy, but good! Here are the most-read posts, a re-cap of some sewing, and my favorites from the summer so far!

Sewn in June + July
So much of June was spent working on projects with our Raspberry Summer fabrics. Every single quilt I sewed with that collection was a delight! I also spent quite a bit of time finishing up my Moda Blockheads 5 quilt and also my Scrappy Half Square Triangle Quilt (see the finished quilt and download my setting PDF on this post). Towards the end of the month my focus was getting ready to work on some works in progress for the month of August.
5 Things I’m Loving this Summer (so far)!
- A few fun trips…I was so grateful to be able to visit the Moda headquarters in Dallas in June for the Modavation retreat. It’s always so good to see the “home base” of where all of the Moda magic happens. And this year was extra special to be able to meet with and learn from so many incredible shop owners. We were also able to make a quick trip to Utah in both June and July and had a little vacation in southern California for my birthday. These quick trips have made the heat more bearable!
- Raspberry Summer…this collection has been in the works for almost a year, and it has truly been a delight to share it with all of you! And I’m still sewing with it, so stay tuned!
- A favorite new prop for styling photos in my sewing room is this aqua ruffle trim cake stand I picked up just recently. I love it for photos, and I might even have to make a cake to set on it one of these days too! Another favorite purchase this summer is this Beach Days Natural Linen Room Spray–it really does remind me of the beach!
- A favorite book that I’m already re-reading. I read this book in May and am starting it again with a notepad in hand. It’s so down to earth and has so many useful time management and organization ideas. Find UpTime: A Practical Guide to Personal Productivity and Wellbeing here.
- Organizing…yes, everything was a complete mess in the sewing room after a busy June and July. But I’ve got things cleaned up and freshened up. It makes me so happy to walk in the room each day now.
August Preview + More
Stay tuned for more fun in August. I’m currently working on an end-of-summer reset challenge for myself that I’ll share with you, and I’m also making progress on a lot of works in progress. Finally, thanks so much for stopping by to read my Best of June + July 2024: Favorites post. If you’re looking for more of my favorites from previous months, you can find all of the earlier posts in this series here.
Happy Quilting!
