Block 3 Details
This week’s block uses a mix of flying geese, squares, rectangles, and an easy corner version of the square in a square unit for a whimsical block perfect for any collection. I’ve pieced my block using our Coastal Breeze collection, but I’ve also made it in our Birch & Willow fabrics to make the mug rug project. Using the Mini Simple Folded Corners ruler makes the easy corner units quick and easy!

This week I also have a free small project pattern to share with you. Use my 9″ block to make a set of mug rugs with an option to use the 12″ block for a placemat. (Plus, you can mix and match with your favorite blocks throughout the sew along for more fun mats). I can’t wait to see all of the mug mats and placemats with this pattern!
