Hello, friends, and happy Saturday! Today I’m sharing the Saturday Seven 302: Lifestyle & More for Quilters post with a round-up of inspiration I’ve found from around the internet this week. I hope you’ll enjoy today’s post and find some wonderful ideas for your weekend and the week ahead. I’ve got some handwork to do for some new project that I’m really looking forward to. I’m even hoping to sit outside for some of my stitching!
Saturday Seven 302: Lifestyle & More for Quilters
1. Self-Care
This piece has some terrific ideas for getting better sleep (I recently just learned that getting natural sunlight early in the day is so very important for this). I also enjoyed this article with helpful ideas for being an encouraging person (always my goal)! And finally, this podcast shares a wide variety of tips for Productive Living.
2. Recipes to Try
This Creamy Ranch Pasta Salad looks so good! I’m also making these 5-Minute Protein Peanut Butter Energy Bites and can’t wait to try them! And how about a Small Batch Cheesecake recipe perfect for when you’re not serving a crowd!
3. Quilt + Sew
First, if you’re looking for something fun for your fall decor, this Quilt as You Go Fall Leaves is a fun and fast (and free) project. Another free fun project is this free pattern from Moda–perfect for mug rugs or for making a fall garland! I’m also going to be making this free Mini Charm pattern for a baby gift soon (I’ll be using a low-volume background). Finally, Chelsi has one more Moda boxed kit of her Juniper Berries quilt here.
4. Book + Podcast Recommendations
This week I loved Cal’s episode with Brad Stulberg on “How to Master Change.” I also loved this episode of The Gret McKeown Podcast on how to define your “done.” And I can’t wait for this book which is arriving Tuesday. I love Shea’s sense of style!
5. Home Organization + Productivity
10 Decluttering Principles that are perfect if you’re doing some home organizing this fall! Laura Vanderkam is hosting a Time Tracking challenge beginning on Monday–go here to sign up for the challenge and to download a printable time tracking sheet. I love doing this a couple of times a year to see how I’m using my time.
6. Fun for Fall
I love having seasonal hand towels in our guest bathroom, so I ordered these and this set too–love them both!
