Hello, friends! Today I’m sharing the Quilted Candy Table Topper, my small project pattern for this month. I love small projects for a quick finish and for a wonderful way to address my over-flowing scrap bins. So earlier this year I decided to share a small project of the month. This month’s is a fun table topper–but I have other ideas for this pattern as well. Also, I’m doing a re-cap of the earlier small projects from this year in today’s post in case you missed any of them.
Quilted Candy Table Topper
The Candy Table Topper pattern finishes at 26 ½″ x 26 ½″ and is perfect for a table topper or small wall quilt. I’ve pieced mine using our Emma fabric collection. Any type of fabrics would be perfect for this little pattern. You can use Moda Candy squares, charm squares, or any scraps you might have on hand to create this little quilt. You’ll just need some additional fabric for background, border, and binding. Find the Candy Table Topper PDF here.
More Ideas for the Quilted Candy Table Topper Pattern
As I mention in today’s video, this pattern can also be used in several other ways:
- Make one block for a perfect scrappy potholder
- Put the blocks together in a single row of three for a darling runner
- Omit the outer border and use the center layout for a pillow top.

January 2022 Small Project: Mini Snowballs
January’s small project was a darling Mini Snowballs wall hanging or table topper. It would also make a great pillow front. While my version is pieced in dark fabrics, it would be a gorgeous spring fabric project as well. Get the January Mini Snowballs Quilt PDF here.
February 2022 Small Project: Mini Churn Dash
The February small project was a Mini Churn Dash topper. Mine is pieced in autumn prints, but once again–this design is perfect for any collection or season. Find the February Mini Churn Dash PDF here.
March 2022 Small Project: Mini Sparkle
In March I shared the Mini Sparkle pattern. If you love stars, this one is for you. I love this as a wall hanging or pillow top, and it’s also a terrific table topper. Get the March Mini Sparkle PDF here.
More Small Project Ideas
I’ll keep sharing a new small project PDF each month for the remainder of 2022 (and possibly next year, too–this has been a lot of fun). Here are a few more small project ideas if you’re looking for something quick to make:
- Tumbler Table Runner
- Scrappy Patchwork Pillow (see the table runner version of this pattern here)

Thanks so much for stopping by to find out about the Quilted Candy Table Topper and other small projects.
Happy quilting!

I adore these small projects, as I am not needed large quilts at this time. They keep my juices flowing and it makes me feel like I am getting something done.
