Hello, friends! Today I’m sharing my Saturday Seven 425: Lifestyle & More for Quilters post with a variety of inspiration I’ve found from around the internet this week. Keep reading for all of this week’s ideas and more.
Here at home, I’m trying to have a “gentle January” while still getting some much-needed tasks finished up. And I’m happy to report that I’ve been making good progress on both the organizing and sewing fronts. My office had turned into a real mess over the holidays, and I’ve got it under control and have moved on to my sewing room. We’re hoping to film a video tour of the sewing room next week, so I hope I finish the organizing this weekend! I’m also in pattern design mode for our May collection–having so much fun designing with this group!

Saturday Seven 425: Lifestyle & More for Quilters
1. Self-Care
Here are 16 Simple, Effective Ways to Declutter Your Mind. And These mindset shifts are helpful if you’re having difficulty decluttering. I also really loved this piece on The Underrated Joy of Letting Things be Good Enough.
2. Recipes to Try
I can’t wait to make these Easy Chicken Burrito Bowls. And this Cilantro Lime Chicken Sir Fry. (Both are easy weeknight meals I can put together in a snap)! And here is a great roundup of High-Protein Recipes.

3. Quilt + Sew: Valentine’s Inspiration
Valentine’s is just around the corner! Here are a few of my favorite heart and Valentine’s projects:

- Easy Heart Quilt Patterns and Projects
- Patchwork Heart Quilts for Spring
- The Together Quilt: Stitch Pink 2021
4. Book + Podcast Recommendations
This episode on Decluttering with Purpose was really good–and there is also a free PDF download available to help you get started. And if you like listening to other people’s goals and plans for the year, this episode of Happier with Gretchen Rubin shares both host’s 26 for 2026 lists.

5. New Mug Rug and Pillow Pattern
I just added a new design to the shop in paper and PDF. Make the heart mug rugs shown above or make the 18″ finished pillow option also included in the pattern. The Lovely heart quilt pattern (above left) works with fat eighths, fat quarters, and is also Layer Cake friendly!
6. Hello, Pumpkin Birch & Willow Version
Chelsi recently shared a new version of her popular Hello, Pumpkin pattern. This design is beautiful in our Birch & Willow fabrics. Watch her video above or watch on our YouTube channel.
