Hello, friends! Today I’m sharing the Saturday Seven 352: Lifestyle + More for Quilters post. My Saturday Seven posts have been going strong for 352 weeks in a row now. Occasionally I get emails asking me “what is the Saturday Seven?” The easy answer is that these posts share a variety of inspirational things I’ve found from around the internet over the previous week. I focus on a variety of personal and home-related topics and also share a bit of sewing and quilting inspiration. I hope today’s round-up will inspire you or at least give you things to think about and try!

Saturday Seven 352: Lifestyle + More for Quilters
1. Self-Care
This article on Dealing with Discouragement was a quick read but also very helpful. I also found this article on Five Signs You Might Need a Digital Detox very enlightening.
2. Recipes to Try
I’m making these Summer Stuffed Shells this week! I’m also going to be trying this Berry Smoothie recipe soon (I’ll add protein powder to it as well). Also, I just got some fresh peaches the other day that are amazing, so I’ll be making all of my favorite peach desserts this week, too!
3. Quilt + Sew
My weekend is going to be filled with scrap-happy projects. I’ve been doing some reorganizing in the studio and found some new projects. If you’re looking for scrap-friendly projects, my Best Scrap Quilt Ideas & Tips post has tons of inspiration. (There might just be some new A Quilting Life fabric scrap bundles in the shop now, too). And if you’re looking for gift ideas to sew now, here is a cute Wrist Scrunchie Pincushion Free Pattern.
4. Book + Podcast Recommendations
I loved episode 326 of the Greg McKeown Podcast on maximizing your legacy. I really loved the daily questions and am going to use a form of those in my own journaling and reflections from now on.
5. Fall Thoughts
It seems like I’m seeing pumpkins everywhere these days–pumpkin recipes, pumpkin decor, and more! Are you ready for all the things fall? I’m anxiously awaiting the cooler temperatures and can’t wait to switch out my decor–which I will probably do right after Labor Day. If you are ready for all of the fall things, I’ve got you covered:
- How to Decorate Your Home with Fall Quilts is a terrific post to get you started.
- And my Fall Quilt Decor Part 1 post from last year has lots of inspiration as well.
- And for all of my recent Fall Quilt Ideas see this post.
6. Personal Care Favs
I recently tried a new Skin Cleansing Oil and absolutely love it. It is now the first thing I use in the morning, and I also use it in the evenings. Plus, it’s not pricey! And this amazing Body Wash is another new favorite–I have already ordered a backup bottle so I won’t run out 🙂
