Hello, friends! Today I’m sharing the Saturday Seven 271: Lifestyle & More for Quilters. I hope you’ll enjoy some inspiration from today’s links and ideas. I returned home yesterday from teaching at a lovely retreat in Cedar City, Utah. It was great to gather with so many wonderful quilters and be inspired by all of the lovely quilts and projects. Unfortunately, I came down with a sinus infection, so this weekend I’ll be doing a bit of resting 🙂
Saturday Seven 271: Lifestyle & More for Quilters
1. Self-Care
I loved this article on “Mastering the Art of Letting Go.” And this piece on “How to Get Off the Rumble Strips and Enjoy Your Journey” was very timely for me. And finally, these Thoughts on the Meaning in Life were so good (read the post or listen to the podcast).
2. Cook
I just made this amazing soup the other day to take to a friend who had surgery and will definitely be making it again and again for our family! This Stuffed Pepper Soup looks so good too! Finally, I can’t wait to try this Easy Chicken Pot Pie recipe.
3. Quilt + Sew
Have you heard about Moda’s Handmade Heart a Day? Find all of the details here (I’ll be sharing my project on February 18th). And Melissa at the Polka Dot Chair is sharing 25 Free Patchwork Quilted Pillow patterns here. If you missed my Free Scrappy Quilt Pattern from earlier this week, you can find it here.
4. Fat Quarter Shop Cupid Box
We are now able to share the contents of the Fat Quarter Shop Cupid box. You can watch my video above, or go here to watch it on our YouTube channel. The boxes did sell out; however, the following items are still available:
- Cupid Box Wall Hanging Finishing Kit
- Quilt As You Go Strip Mug Mats (I can’t wait to make these)!
5. February Calendar
I shared the February calendar the other day, but I’m adding it here in case anyone missed it. Click here to download or on the button below:
6. Simply Delightful
Our Simply Delightful collection has finally shipped, and I have some pre-cut goodies and low volume bundles available in the shop here. (All of the quilts in today’s post are also pieced with our Simply Delightful fabrics).
7. Recently on the Blog
Below you’ll find posts from earlier this week on the blog:
- A Quilting Life Podcast Episode 75 Show Notes
- A Quilting Life Favorites January 2023

Another great Saturday reflection! I really needed to read the “Rumble Strip” article & will be applying the advice. Also I love the recipes & quilting links every week. Thanks Sherri for working so hard to put this together each week. AND Go To Bed & Rest & Recharge! Do hope you feel better. For me, when I get on the “Rumble Strips” I often find my health takes a hit.

I really enjoyed this blog today. It is fun to see what you receive in your boxes from the Fat Quarter Shop. I often see products that I hadn’t known about before. I love The Brightly Quilt in Blues. I think I printed every recipe you included today and I am anxious to try them. Thank you for all your good information each week.
