Valentines and Heart Projects Round-Up

Happy Tuesday!  Today I'm sharing some Valentines and heart projects--many of these are fast and fun projects that you still have time to make before next week...

First up is this adorable heart pillow that my daughter Chelsi made recently.

(I helped her out just a little bit by doing the simple machine quilting for her). She decided to make the heart pillow because she had recently finished up heart quilts for both of her girls and wanted a fun pillow sham to coordinate.  You can find her free tutorial for this project here.

Here is Chelsi with one of the two heart quilts.  She got the heart in a star block from this pattern and set them together with wide sashing and a border.

This pillow was a lot of fun to make!  And it is really a fun afternoon project.  I've seen some already made since I posted the tutorial last month.  Find the free tutorial for my Valentines pillow here!

This is a fast and fun pillow you can make with mini charm squares!  The tutorial by Amy Sinibaldi was originally made with Christmas fabrics, but it looks just as good with Valentines fabric.  Find the original post with link to the free tutorial here.

You can find information for making these three heart blocks here.

My friend Lissa recently gifted her daughter with this gorgeous heart quilt...see her post with link to the free Layer Cake pattern for this big heart quilt here!

My patchwork heart runner and scrappy fabric basket are two of my favorite Valentines decor items.  You can find links to the pattern for the runner and tutorial for the basket on this post.

I also have a free tutorial for this table runner which is a lot of fun in pinks and reds...or your favorite spring fabrics.  Find the tutorial here.

Another fun free tutorial for a Valentines table runner is this recent Moda Bake Shop project--the Jelly Roll Hearts Table Runner.

My friend Amber also has a fun post with lots of heart patterns here (she also used the picture of Chelsi with her heart quilt)!

You can pin the image above to be able to come back to this post easily...

I think I need to go make another Valentines project now...Oh, and our The Front Porch fabric has lots of fun pinks and reds (and spring greens) and florals perfect for your spring sewing...and it will be arriving in shops later this month! But in the meantime...if you are looking for some rich reds to sew with, Jodie at Fort Worth Fabric Studio has this fun bundle!

Happy Quilting, and thanks so much for stopping by!

I continuously reuse my pillow forms to change out my "pillow shams" that i make seasonally to display. Your "do small things" pillow and your daughters look to be the same size pillow forms-this will be great in changing out. Printing out the instructions now--
