Block 17 Details and Tips

This week’s block is called “Life of the Party,” and with the opportunity to use so many different fabrics, the name is very fitting! I used the same fabric combinations for both of my block centers and corner half-square triangles. But I mixed up the light aqua in the quarter square triangle units with different fabrics for each block. Below you’ll find some helpful tips for putting together this week’s block:

• I love that the half-square triangle pieces are over-sized so you can trim to the required size.
• The directions for the quarter square triangle (hourglass) units also create oversized blocks that are trimmed to the required size.
