Hello! On Saturday’s post I shared a little bit of a sneak peek of my Block of the Month quilt finish from 2017. I’m so, so happy with how it turned out! My friend Marion did a fun, modern design on this one, and it just adds the perfect touch to this sampler quilt!
There might be just a bit of a photo overload on this one…I love how it turned
out! I thought I had some favorite blocks before this one was quilted, but now I’m having a hard time picking a favorite. I really do love every bit of this quilt!
Although the star in a star block in the middle of the quilt is sure a fun one!
I’m glad I went with the scrappy light sashings, too. It helped use up more of my fabrics and added even more texture to the quilt. The sashing posts made with the border fabric keep everything unified.
I need to get the binding finished up on this one as well–it’s been very spring-like outside lately, but I’m hoping for just a little more winter so I can get my stack of quilts bound before the weather gets too hot!
This one is just a close up of the quilting…such a cute design!
The patterns were free during 2017, but now that my Block of the Month program for 2018 has started, I’ve compiled all of the 2017 patterns into one file, available for purchase in my Craftsy shop. The file comes with thirteen block patterns in two sizes (6″ and 12″), fabric requirements, and two different setting options for both block sizes.
Happy Quilting…and thanks so much for stopping by!
