Good Vibes Fat Eighth or Fat Quarter Quilt

Hello, friends! Today I’m excited to share my new Good Vibes Fat Eighth or Fat Quarter Quilt featuring our Laguna Sunrise collection by Sherri & Chelsi for Moda fabrics. This was one of those quilts I had in my sketchbook waiting for just the right collection to showcase this unique star block design. Keep reading for all of the quilt and pattern details.

Good Vibes Quilt Details

I love a good star block, and especially love stars with borders and secondary patterns. You’ll find all of those things in this design. I made my quilt with fat eighths, but by cutting the number of fat eighths in half this would make a terrific fat quarter quilt. My friend Nancy Lane pieced these blocks and then I set them together with sashing and added the borders. It’s so fun to piece a quilt with a friend, and I appreciated Nancy’s help so much. The quilting is a beautiful all-over design done by Marion Bott. Below you’ll find the quilt specifics:

• Good Vibes finishes at 80″ x 80″.
• Use 16 fat eighths or 8 fat quarters for the blocks.
• You’ll also need two different accent prints for the block borders (I used two different grey prints).
• Use the binding fabric for cornerstones or use block left-overs for scrappy cornerstones.
• This quilt is confident beginner friendly.
