I haven’t done a Wonderful Wednesday post since February…but seeing Jackie’s post this morning reminded me that I ought to do another. Today is a wonderful Wednesday! I spent all day (about 12 hours) yesterday painting our guest room–now all that’s left is to decide which quilts to hang on the walls. And can I tell you painting gets harder as you get older–I love to paint and knew my arms would be sore today…but my thighs? Guess going up and down a ladder hundreds of times is a workout! Anyway, this bundle of Bliss arrived on my doorstep this morning…and now I’ve forgotten all about my aches and pains!
Delightful red rick rack…the perfect red also arrived…Thank You!
And I’m also grateful today for some Flea Market Fancy that came last week. I arrived quite late to the Flea Market Fancy party and was thankful to get two very kind emails last week from bloggers offering to swap some fabric for some swatches of this wonderful fabric…swatches the perfect size for…
Flea Market Fancy hexagons…I now have 27 of the 45 pieces I’ve been able to count and plan on either making a pillow or a framed piece with these when I have a few more.
And so now I’m off to sew. (This is quite posssibly the last picture of this Bliss bundle as you see it…because I need to sew with it…if I can only narrow down my list of projects)! Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!

I arrived late to the FMF party too but have acquired a few pieces too. It's a great line. I need to find the perfect project….and I'm not getting rid of one single scrap!
Looking forward to seeing what you're going to do with the Bliss.

HAPPY WEDNESDAY.

This made me laugh and feel better. We've been doing major remodeling. I was painting a lot and found my legs were so sore! I couldn't believe it. I am glad to hear I'm not alone! 🙂 Some nights the bottoms of my feet were really sore from being on my feet all day, day after day. I am not used to that anymore either.

What a beautiful Wednesday! I'm LOVIN' Bliss! Can't wait to see what you make with it…

I can't wait to see what you make with the BLISS. That collection is on my list, possibly for a summertime king sized quilt for MY bed!
Say, where did you get nice red ric rac??

I knew that I had seen Wonderful Wednesday somewhere!! I love the idea of doing this!! We should definitely keep it up. I love all your wonderfulness too. By the way, there is something to be said for all that up and down. Finding those muscles are really a good thing, right?

Your FMF hexies look so cute just stacked, but I'm anxious to see what they'll be. My only FMF is a bag that I won! That Bliss stack is so pretty! I tore into mine the day I brought it home from quilt market!

You did have a wonderful Wednesday!

Hi JUst wondering where you got "Bliss" and "12 days of Christmas" from. Thanks Deb

I love Bliss! My local store will receive it as well and I'm sure it'll look even better in real life! ;o)

Hi Sherri!
I know what you're talking about – we've just recently painted our workroom (the color was a total disaster…I now live in an aquarium…but that's another story). What disturbed me most wasn't the sore arms (which weren't too bad thanks to hubby who did all the work beneath our 4m-high-ceilings) but all the mess it created to empty one room…;o)
Lucky you that you found someone willing to swap ~ the hexies look wonderful and the pillow or framed piece of art will be fabulous! I don't own any FMF (too late!) but if so, I'd happily shared them with you. Being late with a fabric 'crush' isn't much fun…I experienced it with Tula Pink's Neptune (actually, I started to prepare a post about it yesterday…;o)) – now the few Layer Cakes that are sold for horrendous sums *snif* which I can't justify to pay for…well, I keep on hunting for them.
Hugs, Julia
P.S.: you're doing so right – I haven't cut into my 'Bliss' bundle yet…but I know what I want to do with it…can't wait for your blissful results…

Did I miss something? What color did you decide to paint? Oh I hate to paint. Love it when it is done. Your colors and fabrics are beautiful. Can I ask where you got your rick rack? It is the perfect shade of red. Please share the source.
Corky says
I have a couple of the FMF prints you are missing and I would be happy to share at least enough for a hex or two 🙂
Are you still collecting them? How large a piece do you need and where should I send them?
Happy Wednesday!
Carrie P. says
Yes, it does look like you had a wonderful Wednesday. Fabrics and rick rack can make any day wonderful.

This is my first visit to your blog.
I have been quilting for only a couple of months. I do enjoy quilting but I hate the binding portion.
Isn't Moda great fabric?
Joanne says
It was because of you I discovered Bliss and I now have a fat quarter bundle of Bliss. I have not cut into it yet … it is too pretty. Thank you for sharing. I love your blog!
Stitched With Prayer says
Sherri, Do you find it a little bit tough to start cutting into a beautiful bundle of pristine fabric? I always have to fondle them a bit before I actually start the cutting…but, on the other hand, I can't wait to see what delightful project you make with it. The rick rack is also perfect with the Bliss. I really need to get to my favorite shop and buy some. That is the #1 item on my 'to do list' and as soon as I am able to drive again (not to mention sew again LOL), I really do plan to get some Bliss. If I can't find a FQB here locally, I'll just have to order some online. No telling how long I will admire it before cutting into it!!!
I also love your Flea Market Fancy treasures, so bright and cheerful. Especially like the hexagons. Have a great weekend…
Magnolia Bay Quilts says
That's one super-gorgeous bundle of fabric. And I love your Flea Market Fancy hexagons, too. Precious! Just take some Aleve and pet those fabrics some more — you'll feel better soon. 🙂
