Here at home, I’ve been sewing a lot! I made 24 small star blocks for one of Chelsi’s upcoming quilt patterns. I’m also finishing up a magazine quilt today and working on some fun items for the upcoming H&H Americas show. With all of the sewing I’ve also been trying to keep working on my organizing tasks on a regular basis. And we’ve had some beautiful weather, so I’ve been able to get outside a bit–it was a good week!

1. Self-Care
I absolutely loved this post on slowing down. And this short piece about calming our spaces to calm our minds was also a good reminder for me.
2. Recipes to Try
This Sheet Pan Honey Garlic Chicken and Veggies looks wonderful–trying it this week! And here is a terrific roundup of spring appetizers. It’s getting warmer here, so I’ll be using my air fryer on repeat–here is a great roundup of Air Fryer Side Dishes. Finally, this roundup of Breakfast recipes is so good!
3. Quilt + Sew
Be sure to look at Monday’s post and video for all of the details on my Patchwork Sewing Machine cover pictured above. It makes me smile each time I walk in my sewing room! Here are some of my favorites in red, white, and blue. Watch for even more red, white and blue quilt favorites coming soon 🙂
4. Book & Podcast Recommendations
One favorite podcast from the week was Episode 583: Too Much Clutter from the Happier with Gretchen Rubin podcast. I also loved the most recent podcast from Cal Newport where he talked about discipline with guest Brad Stulberg. Brad’s book, The Way to Excellence can be found here.
5. EQ 8 Computer Software
I use the EQ8 software from The Electric Quilt Company to design all of my quilts. (I’ve been using their software since 2012 when I won a digital download copy in a giveaway and love this program and all it lets me do). Watch the video above or watch on our YouTube channel to learn about a great new all-in-one product option for those wanting to start designing their own quilts. 6. New Collection Announcement
Put May 1st on your calendar! We will be sharing our next fabric collection with Moda Fabrics on our social media and sites that day. (We will also share this collection at the H&H Americas show the following week). Watch for our introduction video here on the blog and on our YouTube channel where you can see all of the different prints and patterns in this new group. We will also have ten new pattern designs (five from Chelsi and five from me) available in our shops May 1st and will begin sharing along with the fabrics next weekend.
