Hello, friends! Today I’m sharing the Saturday Seven 438: Lifestyle & More for Quilters with a roundup of inspiration for home and creating that I’ve found from around the internet. I hope you’ll find ideas for your weekend and the week ahead.
Here at home, I’m working on some spring-cleaning projects (my office is a mess, and I’m also trying to declutter my closet and move all of my winter clothes to the top shelf). I also hope to get into the sewing room for just a bit!

Saturday Seven 438: Lifestyle & More for Quilters
1. Self-Care
I loved this article on 7 Ways to Save Time for What Matters Most. While some might not consider time management a form of self-care, I definitely appreciate having time for my most important activities. I also enjoyed this article on a Spring Reset–lots of good ideas here.
2. Recipes to Try
This BLT Pasta Salad is one I make on repeat this time of year. Also, Shea McGee’s new Around the Table cookbook is beautifully done and filled with recipes organized seasonally. The photography and tablescapes are inspiring, and I have a list of recipes I can’t wait to try.

3. Quilt & Sew
Here is a fun Embellished Half Yard Drawstring Bag Tutorial from my friends at Fat Quarter Shop. And now is the time to get ready for our Poinsettia Stars Block of the Month Sew Along beginning in June. Find all of the details here (including where to get a kit using our Poinsettia & Pear fabrics).
4. Book & Podcast Recommendations
This week I loved Gretchen Rubin’s podcast revisiting her “one minute rule.” (Find her accompanying blog post on this topic here). I also loved The Productive Woman’s podcast on Batching Tasks.

5. A Quilting Life Substack
I finally started a Substack! This has been on my list for quite some time, and every time I get a complaint about ads I feel like I need to start doing some publishing on an ad-free platform. So, I started this on Thursday and will publish an article weekly for paid subscribers and add in some free articles here and there for the free subscribers. I had a lot of fun with my introductory post and the first official post on the subject of creativity. Next week I’ll be writing about organizing for quilters! None of my other platforms are changing–I just wanted to have another option (and I like to write)!

6. Bringing Me Joy
This simple bowl of flowers has been a fun addition to my office. I love hydrangeas, and this arrangement makes me smile each time I walk by (pictured above). Also adding a packet of this electrolyte mix to my water during or after my walk has been helping so much with my hydration and energy levels. Finally, my favorite pen is now available in some fun spring colors (ink is black).
