Saturday Seven 367: Lifestyle & More for Quilters
1. Self-Care
2025 is just around the corner…so now is a good time if you’re thinking about choosing a one-word theme for your year. It’s always good to consider a theme that might be refreshing to your soul. I also loved this piece on “Why ‘Less’ is the Best Gift You Can Give Yourself this Year.”
2. Recipes to Try
First–these Cranberry Orange White Chocolate Scones–need I say more?! I’ve shared our family favorite Sweet Stuffed Pepper appetizers before (we make the sausage version for breakfast all the time), but the recipe author has now added four variations to try! These Candy Cane Cookies with Chocolate Mint remind me of cookies my grandmother used to make.
3. Quilt + Sew
Did you know I have a free Patchwork Christmas Stocking Tutorial with Stocking Template? And this free darling teacup mug rug is perfect for Christmas gifting! Finally, if you’re looking for a delightful Block of the Month quilt kit for your 2025 sewing…this Flower Shop BOM Quilt Kit is the perfect project.
4. Book + Podcast Recommendations
First, I am absolutely loving the book Toxic Productivity–maybe I needed it, lol! And there are so many great ideas in this episode of Best of Both Worlds with organizing expert Shira Gill. And this Cal Newport podcast with guest Kendra Adachi focuses on Greatness vs. Contentment.
5. Tis the Season–Movies + Let’s Stay Organized!
This post has a fun printable with a ton of Christmas Holiday Movies to watch (scroll to the bottom of the post to see and print the list). And this December decluttering list is perfect for end-of-the-year and beginning of the year organizing! Finally, these ideas are simple but so timely for the season.
6. Fat Quarter Shop Jolly Box (Spoiler Alert)
I received this year’s Fat Quarter Shop Jolly Box as a gift and absolutely love it! I’m sharing this now because there are still boxes available, and it’s a fabulous deal! There are so many fun items including (most of the items are exclusive to the box):
- Order the Jolly Box here.
- On Dasher collection Fat Quarters by Sweetwater for Moda Fabrics (12 included)
- Snowman Society Melamine Tray
- Gift Tag Stickers
- Snowman Society Quilt Pattern
