Hello, friends! Today I’m happy to share the second pattern release for the Fat Quarter Shop Haunted Halloween Quilt Along Week 2. I’ve had so much fun sewing this mystery wall hanging and hope you are having fun sewing along as well. Keep reading for the free PDF pattern link and for tips and details on this week’s block.
Haunted Halloween Quilt Along Week 2
Haunted Halloween Block Pattern + Tips
This week’s block is a Halloween cat. I had fun using the cute candy corn on mauve print for my kitty. It would be super easy to embellish your cat block with some embroidery or simple applique if you want to add something more to the block. This is a large block, but most of the piecing is simple squares and rectangles. I did use the Mini Simple Folded Corners Ruler for the easy corner triangle sections.

My bat is sewn up and the stars are set into 9-patches. Will be easy to sew up and then start on the cat! Fun MQAL!

I’m done with week 1 and can’t wait to start this adorable cat! I will make some modifications to mine, to add a collar and change the tail a bit.
