I am having a great time making the Farmer’s Wife blocks–it’s fun to see so many other bloggers participating in this quilt along as well! I think it’s week 5…anyway, I couldn’t wait any longer to make my next set of blocks. First up are my Flurry versions of Block 21–“Contrary Wife” and Block 12–“Broken Sugar Bowl.”
And here are my ten Flurry blocks together! I promise I won’t show them all each week–it just occurred to me that the last time I showed the whole set I didn’t set them on point as they will be in my quilt.
And Block 21 and Block 12–the Fig Tree versions!
10 down–101 to go! Have a wonderful day!

Oh my…every post you have put up on the FWQ just makes me wish even MORE that I was doing this!!! I'm not just saying this but they are just sooooo cute. The fabric lines look so good in every block. I gave my dear friend the FW book for her birthday…hummm….maybe I need to order ME the book too! 🙂

I guess this is the first time I realized you are making 100+ blocks!! Good grief, girl! That's a BUNCH!

I never thought to make the FW with none repo fabrics, I love it!
Can I ask if you are using the templates from the book or figuring out the math?
Thanks for the inspiration!

OK, that's it, I can't stand it anymore, your blocks are just too cute, I"m going to HAVE to join that sew along!
Are you going with 6 inch blocks, I was thinking of going smaller? I don't need another kings size quilt but want to make all 111 blocks.

So nice to see such a great variety of blocks in this quilt-along. I love seeing all the different fabrics everyone is putting together for their projects. Love how those Christmas prints really pop with the white contrast on your first version!

I really like how both colorways are turning out! Great project for Flurry. I have a fat quarter bundle, and not sure yet what I'm going to do with it.
Dana says
I am impatiently waiting for the book to arrive so I can start this quilt along. Your blocks are so inspiring and I love that you are doing a Christmas version, too!
Yvette says
Wow! Beautiful colors and fabrics.

I finished number eleven over the weekend and cut out three more. Hard to get sewing time with three grandchildren in and it. I even got my five year old grandson to help me pick out fabric and cut some of the 2 1/2" triangles on my Go Baby. I am loving how yours are turning out and you are doing double.
Sharon says
Love both colorways you are using…especially the Fig Tree line. It is fun to see everyones version of the Farmers Wife…we should have a Flicker Quilt Show next year of the completed quilts…there will be such a variety to see.
Thimbleanna says
Only 101 LOL! they're looking good!

I bought this book this summer but haven't had a chance to do the blocks yet, just reading it. Wish I had joined in on the beginning of this. They look wonderful!
