I’m going to keep it simple today. No errands to run…no yardwork…nothing that has to be “checked off the list.”
I might try to get the binding finished for this Blissful quilt…
And I might start this “bluesy” project that’s been on my mind for a little while…
(I love how the blues from City Weekend, Cape Ann, and Puttin’ on the Ritz work so well together)! I will definitely make next weeks “Farmer’s Wife Quilt Along” blocks (because I can’t wait until next week to make them…they are a little addicting)!
And I will definitely make time to read the latest Country Living (♥ that cover quilt) and also read a chapter or two of this amazing book
. I’m so excited that the Cabbages and Roses company is now designing fabric for Moda. I was able to meet the mother and daughter team at market, and they were so very nice. Their fabrics are gorgeous–I can’t wait for Northcote Range to come out this fall.
(By the way, I’ve really enjoyed reading the “process” comments from my last post–thanks so much to everyone who commented).

Okay, so my Saturday was supposed to be the same as yours, largely due to the fact that hubby went fishing for the day. He helped me get all the housework done yesterday so last night when I closed my eyes it was with the blissful feeling that come this morning, I wouldn't have to do a single thing but get reacquainted with my sweet sewing machine. It's been a while mainly due to my health. So, I wake up early…way too early, 3:30 am, problem was, my eyes were closed but I didn't go to sleep until after midnight. *sigh*, I doze off again at 4:30 and at 5, I get up to tell hubby to have a fun, safe day, *kiss*…*hug*…off he goes. Back to bed I go but I don't wake up until after 9am, ugh, half the morning gone. Okay, I'm up, I dressed, beds made and I'm on my way to the sewing room, Pepsi in one hand, huge bottle of water in the other. Look out the window at the beautiful day…ummm…the petunias are droopy. Gotta water them, oops, the hummingbird feeders are getting cloudy, gotta clean and freshen them, okay, no problem, I love my few little hummingbirds. Hmmm…out of sugar. Ever been to Walmart on a Saturday morning at 10 am??? (should have gone elsewhere but it's closest) Oh well, everything is done now, but it is of course going on 1pm. Hubby will be home in a couple of hours but he will fix supper and let me sew as long as I want (if I stop to eat, I have a habit of not doing that, LOL). So now that I have taken half your day, telling my story, I'm off to sew. Just one more thing. Your collection of Blues is so absolutely gorgeous that now I have to stop and clean the drool off my computer. Hurry, go back to your sewing!!! Hugs….

Oh, I love Bliss fabric. I have some to make a quilt with, but think I like your pattern better….it is so pretty. Would you please tell me the name of the pattern or were I could get it. The blues are one of my favorite colors, too. Love your blog.

I love your Farmer's Wife blocks. I just bought the book this weekend with a coupon and only paid $18! Now the big decision is what fabric to use to make the blocks!
