Hello! Well…as I’ve mentioned a few times, I’m anxious to get going on holiday sewing. But I knew I was going to make one more fall project…ever since I finished up my Maple Sky quilt I knew I needed to make a mini version…it was just a matter of finding the time!
So this week I got it all figured out, and then cut and sewed it in one day!
This really was a fun project…I’m glad I got it finished up in time to really get a lot of use out of it this year. And…if you would like to make one, too…I have the pattern all ready!
I wrote the pattern so it is fat eighth friendly, but of course you can use scraps to give your blocks even more variety! I did some simple straight line quilting which always works with scrappy quilts…I may add just a bit more, though, and quilt another line in between all of my existing lines.
I pulled fabrics from a variety of Fig Tree collections, and while you can make your backgrounds scrappy, I chose to use a solid ivory and then add in the low-volume sash strips.
The quilt finishes up at 21″ x 21″, so it’s a perfect table topper, wall hanging, or pillow top!
You can find paper and PDF versions of Maple Sky Mini in my Etsy shop now. They’ll both be on sale for $4.99 through the end of October.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
