Spring was pretty busy…and my Bee blocks started to pile up! So the first sewing I did after returning home from market was to play catch up for Sinta and Calli! First I made Sinta’s blocks, and I have to say I’m absolutely in love with this block. Sinta’s modern Dresden blocks were based on this tutorial from Cindy. I will definitely be using this design to make some blocks for me one of these days!
Calli is making a pickle-dish quilt based on Aneela’s terrific tutorial. Again, this is another tutorial I’ll use again. I had so much fun paper-piecing this melon. And for me to have fun paper piecing means that the pattern was terrific!
Congrats to KMSC, the winner of the Angles with Ease pattern book and ruler from Heather. KMSC, you are a no-reply blogger, so I’m unable to email you. Please email me with your mailing information so I can send out the book and ruler!
It’s been a nice and relaxing weekend here…Happy Memorial Day…I’m so grateful for those who have protected freedom and given their lives for this amazing gift I cherish so much! Thanks for stopping by!

Wow those modern Dresdens are so different! Very interesting effect – going to have a look at Sinta's blog for those. Love Pickle Dish quilts as well … another one on my very long list! I really love the one that Leanne is currently doing at She Can Quilt.

Love the pickledish pattern – have just finished my MO2 one!(But that involved lots of applique!) And those modern Dresdens are amazing! If KMSC doesn't reply, I am more than happy to take your wonderful pattern and ruler!

You have inspired me to maybe try the Pickle Dish pattern myself! I always thought it would be too hard, but yours is just too stinkin' cute!
