“Eat cake…” or, in other words, “live life to the fullest!” This pattern was designed by Lori Holt of Bee in my Bonnet. I saw this on her blog a few months ago and absolutely knew I would be making this project one day! What I didn’t know then was that I would be so incredibly lucky as to be able to have instruction from Lori as I made it. I got the kit and pattern for my project from American Quilting–and absolutely love every fabric used!
I appreciate the tips and techniques Lori shared with us at our get together the other day; I was able to see and learn some things I’d never quite fully understood before. I really enjoy the portability of applique’ (I even worked on this at my son’s track meet yesterday) but have often lacked the confidence to make some of the projects I’ve wanted to attempt. Now, thanks to Lori, I have a new enthusiasm for my applique’ “to do” list! Lori has designed many amazing quilts…you can see them all on the sidebar of her blog…now to just decide which applique’ project I want to start next! Hope you have a great week!
