It’s always so fun to see the most-read posts! Usually, the Block of the Month is right at the top as it is this month. Fun to see that something I just shared made the number two spot!

Made in April 2026
April has definitely been a busy sewing month for me. First, I finished up all of my quilts from the new patterns for the collection we are sharing this Friday (yes, in two days)! Then I offered help to my daughter and have sewn one of her quilts and made 24 small star blocks for another. I’m also currently binding all of her quilts and have finished two of them with three to go!
I’m also staying caught up with the Sewcialites 3 Sew Along and my A Quilting Life Block of the Month. The work in progress I’ve been working on this month is the Designer Mystery Quilt from 2022!
I’ve also been working on some small things for our H&H Americas booth. I hope I can get those finished and share them with you soon!

Five Things I’m Loving Right Now
Below are some things that I’m loving these days:
- I’ve been reading The Way of Excellence: A Guide to True Greatness and Deep Satisfaction in a Chaotic World by Brad Stulberg and have really been enjoying it. Highly recommend!
- Writing my weekly Substack essays. See the most recent one on creativity here.
- Spring weather…I always tell people that fall is my favorite season, but this spring we are having here in southern Nevada has me re-thinking that. Give me all the temperatures in the 70’s with cool breezes and blooming flowers!
- My Moda Family…most of them I only see once or twice a year. With H&H Americas just around the corner I’m getting super excited to spend time with the most creative people I know. It was also so much fun to have my friend Camille as a guest on the podcast this week!
- I loved listening to this Deep Questions podcast on Developing “Cognitive Fitness” this week.

Thanks so much for stopping by to read my A Quilting Life Favorites April 2026 post. I hope you found some inspiration for your quilting, sewing, and more. Find more Favorites posts here.
Happy Quilting!
