Works in Progress | Blocks and Hexies

Hello and happy Tuesday! I worked on a few other projects along with my Splendid Sampler blocks, and I'm almost caught up with everything I was behind on!

I'm still sewing on my Little Ruby Quilt along blocks...these hexagon pinwheels

have been a lot of fun to make! I've been sewing strip sets here and there and

then ironing and stitching blocks together at other times. So far it's working well as I've been able to sew these in between sewing other projects.

I also have been trying to catch up on Bee blocks...and I had so much fun making these Raspberry Kiss blocks the other day. There is a free tutorial for this block design in two different sizes (my blocks are the 8 1/2" finished blocks). You can find the tutorial on the Wooden Spoon Quilts blog

And finally...I've also made a little progress on my Grandmother's Flower garden blocks...I made 5 blocks last week, and I used a little bit of Desert Bloom in each one. This quilt is going to have a little bit of so many of my favorite fabrics!

What are you working on this week?

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Beautiful blocks! Love the gold colors in your hexagon blocks. I've been catching up on my blocks for the Rise Quilt Along by Woodberry Way - little Hot Air Balloon Blocks.

I've been working on my Keeper of the Door hexies. The pattern is in the Spring 2016 Primitive Quilts & Projects mag.

Love your Little Ruby blocks and your hexagons! I'm still playing catch-up with my Splendid blocks and then I need to quilt my Stars and Stripes quilt.

I have all my Little Ruby strip sets sewn and cut (finally). Now it's time to start matching up prints and making half hexies.
