Happy Monday! Hope your weekend was a great one! I’ve been trying to get caught up with my Splendid Sampler blocks…and I’ve got three more to share with you today!
I’m up to 19 blocks, and I love them all…it’s been so fun sewing along with this
quilt along. I still have more to catch up on, but three blocks is a good start!
First I made the Lina’s Gift block which is from April and was designed by Pat Sloan. Not sure how I missed this one back then…but I’m glad I’ve got it finished up now!
Next I made the Wishful Garden block by Kristyne Czepuryk. This block is designed so that you can add embroidery to the light areas of the block. I figured I’d just use a fun light fabric there since I still have several blocks to catch up on.
Finally, I made the Lemonade block by Amy Gibson. I love lemonade, and I love the “when life gives you lemons…” philosophy…so I knew I was going to make this block! The curved piecing was the smallest curved piecing I’ve ever done…it’s not perfect (I should have used starch), but I’m happy with my cute little lemon!
I’m quite sure I won’t be making all of the Splendid Sampler blocks…but I’m going to keep sewing along, making the ones I love…and at the end I’ll decide how to set them all based on how many I’ve made!
And…a photo of all 19. I really do take these photos to get an idea of what colors I need to use in my next group of blocks.
Are you sewing along with the Splendid Sampler?
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Love your blocks! And yes, I'm sewing along and yes, I'm also behind about 11 blocks I think. Funny thing I didn't make Lina's Gift yet, too, but I hope to make it tonight.

Your blocks are so bright and happy. I am behind too, but for some reason I never considered I could just finish SOME of them. :p

I want my old life back…. but one day I will
