Hello! After catching up on a few Splendid Sampler blocks the other day I wanted to make a few more…so I made one new release and two I was behind on.
I love the way that the blocks are such a mix of techniques and levels…
Paper piecing definitely isn’t my favorite, but I’ve come to terms with it when I need to use it, lol! So, I decided I would tackle Goose on the Loose by Amy Smart first. I just love this block!
Next I pieced the Selvage Saver…without any selvages! I had some strips in a variety of widths left over from some of my market sewing, and they were perfect for this block. It reminded me that I should work on my string blocks again soon!
Finally, I pieced the Dashing by Chocolate block from earlier this week. I love this fun variation on the churn dash!
These blocks are just way too much fun! I’ve enjoyed every one, and while I’m not pressuring myself to stay completely caught up with the quilt along, it did feel good to get a few more pieced!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Love your blocks, Sherri! I did the same thing with my selvage block and it made me want to make a string quilt! I've certainly got enough scraps to do it!

What beautiful blocks and nice mixture of color in each! I recently finished a baby-sized strings quilt. Love it, but it is heavy from all the seams, as I used mostly 1-2 inch strips.

Your blocks are all so pretty. I feel the same way about paper piecing.

Your inspiring me to catch up. One more quilt for me to quilt then I have no deadlines left in my way.
