Snapshots Quilt Along: Ice Cream Block

Happy Monday! It's Snapshots Quilt Along Day! Now that I'm caught up (and actually even a little ahead), it's been even more fun working on this quilt. If you happen to be behind...just start with this month's block. Someone gave me that advice many years ago in regards to scrap booking, and I've used the idea with quilting with a lot of success. Sometimes just making the block for the current month can inspire me to go back and get caught up.

This month's block is block 6--the delightful "Triple Scoop Sundae" block.

The block went together quickly and is super cute.  You can download the pattern from the Snapshots Quilt Along main page. While you're on the main page you will notice that the finishing and backing instructions are ready, too. That means you can start sashing your blocks and begin putting blocks and rows together.

I cut out all of my sashing and have rows one and two assembled. This really is such a fun quilt, and even more I love that so many of the blocks can be made up to be mini quilts for your sewing room or kitchen.

Be sure to stop by all of the other Snapshots Quilt Along blogs today to see their fabric choices.

Love your block! I was a little behind with my apron block but now it's all done and I can't wait to make my ice cream block. And thanks for the reminder about the finishing and backing instructions almost forget abot that.
