I've been working on quite a few things the past week or so...trying to finish up some projects and get them to the quilted stage! First up, I finally decided on an inner border for my Bee in My Bonnet Row Along quilt.
I went with Moda Bella Aqua...it just goes really well with all of the Bonnie & Camille fabrics. My outer border fabric arrived in the mail on Monday--I'll be getting it set together as soon as possible!
I also decided on a border (and backing) for my "Marcelle Medallion." I ended up going with the floral on aqua from Flea Market Fancy for this quilt. I was able to get some of the red scissor fabric, but in the end it just wasn't "it." I do love this aqua, though, for my outer border. Since there are so many lights in this quilt I had to go with a light backing; I chose the geometric print from 2wenty Thr3e at the top of the photo.
I'm sending this off to be quilted...I thought about hand-quilting it, but I'm really too impatient...this is one of my favorite quilts ever!
Oh, and I've also started working on my hexagons again. The other night I basted these hexagons and got one flower put together while visiting with family here visiting for Easter. Okay...that's all for now..
Thanks so much for stopping by!
