What I'm Working on Wednesday

I've been working on quite a few things the past week or so...trying to finish up some projects and get them to the quilted stage! First up, I finally decided on an inner border for my Bee in My Bonnet Row Along quilt.

I went with Moda Bella Aqua...it just goes really well with all of the Bonnie & Camille fabrics. My outer border fabric arrived in the mail on Monday--I'll be getting it set together as soon as possible!

I also decided on a border (and backing) for my "Marcelle Medallion." I ended up going with the floral on aqua from Flea Market Fancy for this quilt. I was able to get some of the red scissor fabric, but in the end it just wasn't "it." I do love this aqua, though, for my outer border. Since there are so many lights in this quilt I had to go with a light backing; I chose the geometric print from 2wenty Thr3e at the top of the photo.

I'm sending this off to be quilted...I thought about hand-quilting it, but I'm really too impatient...this is one of my favorite quilts ever!

Oh, and I've also started working on my hexagons again. The other night I basted these hexagons and got one flower put together while visiting with family here visiting for Easter. Okay...that's all for now..

Thanks so much for stopping by!

The aqua border on your Row Along is perfect. And I like your border selection for the Medallion quilt, too!

I love the aqua border you chose for your Marcelle Medallion quilt. That is one of my favorite prints! Can't wait to see this completed.

Sherri, your quilts are beautiful. I used to do alot of quilting when I was younger but stopped for many years. I recently began again and it is such a joy to my heart. I'm not as organized as you, though! Very lovely.
Hugs,
Mary

Fun to see your projects come together. Agreed on the benefits of sending out a quilt--I love those days when they call and say "your quilt is ready." It's like Christmas!

I'm one of the few dinosaurs left, who hand quilts everything.

I simply adore your fabric choices. The more the better!

Beautiful blog. I'm so glad I found it!
