Hello…welcome back if you’ve already stopped by once today for the Blogger Girls Block of the Month (if you’re looking for that post, you can find it here).
Sinta and I are happy to announce a return to the Schnibbles parades and will be making a “vintage” Schnibble for our first project. You might already have this pattern from a few years ago. It is also available as a PDF file from Carrie’s web store (and I found it at Fat Quarter Shop in paper form, too).
I really had a lot of fun making this project last week. I used the recent collection Boho by Urban Chiks for Moda for my quilt. Since yardage of this collection isn’t yet available, I used Urban Cowgirl, another recent Urban Chiks collection for my inner border…it worked great! My background fabrics are made up from a few different Minick & Simpson and Fig Tree Collections…I can’t wait to get this quilted…I’ll finish it up for the parade next month!
And for a few of the details if you’re new and/or wondering what Schnibbles and Schnibbles parades are all about:
- First, I have an informative Schnibbles post you can read here.
- Second, you don’t need to have a blog to enter…the parade is open to anyone.
- Third…it’s especially helpful for Sinta and I if you send the photo and a link to your blog if you have one. It saves a lot of time when we’re putting the parade posts together. Even if you know we regularly read your blog, not having to pull the photo and/or look up the exact link saves a lot of time.
That’s about all…thanks so much for stopping by! I look forward to seeing lots of Hat Trick quilts on May 1st!

I'm so excited to work on another Schnibble! I saw the pattern earlier on Sinta's blog and was trying to decided which fabrics to use. Hat Trick sort of reminds me of ISTH, and that made me remember that I had lots of Urban Cowgirl fabric leftover from that project, so I decided to use that. Then I saw this entry where you used Boho and some UC. How funny!

Cool. I've been wandering around the sewing room today, trying to decide what to tackle after I dusted, wiped down cupboards, organized the stash, cleaned windows. . . this looks like a great possiblity! I love the Schnibbles parades. Hey, I love Schnibbles and your wonderful quilt!

I like the Vintage Year of Schnibbles, there are several that I never made that would be great to finally make. I like the fabrics you used for your Hat Trick quilt. Mark me down for joining the Vintage Schnibbles. How do we know who to email our pictures to? Do you and Sinta each take half of the alphabet?

I would like to try and join in too. Your quilt is adorable. What a inspiration you are because when I see your quilt it looks easier than the pattern. Thanks!
