Hello and happy Friday! I’m always looking for fun ways to use my scraps, and today I’m sharing a wonderful scrap-buster quilt block that I’m in love with! I’m participating in the Fat Quarter Shop blog tour sharing ideas and projects about this wonderful scrappy happy block!
The Happy Trails block finishes at 16″ which makes a scrappy quilt come
together quickly! I decided
to use scrappy blues with a navy and light chain going through my
blocks. I think it will be really fun when I get it all together!
Cutting instructions are simple, and it doesn’t really take big pieces to get what you need for the blocks.
And, although I used just one navy print for the four-patch units, directions are given so you can make those scrappy too…
I’m never sure about a scrap quilt idea until I make a test block, and making this one block has sold me on making a whole quilt…I can’t wait to sit down and cut up some scraps for the rest of my blocks (the pattern also contains directions for cutting when making an entire quilt).
You can find the pattern and instructions for this in the Scrappy Project Planner. And you can see more about this block and quilt on the Jolly Jabber today.
Finally…I just want to let you know about this terrific supplies sale going on this weekend…all kits and supplies over at Craftsy are up to 50% off through Sunday…shop the sale here.
Happy quilting! Have a wonderful weekend!

Your fabric choices make it really easy to picture how great a whole scrappy (or semi-scrappy) quilt would be out of this. I love me some 4-patches.

I am in love with the happy trails quilt pattern. I have checked Amazon and there is a 1-2 month wait on the book with the pattern. Is there no other outlet for the pattern? Can you help? Thanx, Jackie Hubert
