Hello and happy Thursday! I actually did have one more finish this past week that I can share–I got the binding added to my County Fair quilt! I love the large black floral from the Fig Tree Chestnut Street collection and was happy to be able to use it for the binding!
It added the perfect touch to this quilt…it just had to have a black frame around
the edges! I also love how little bits of the floral peek out around the edge as well!
If you have questions about binding techniques, I have two YouTube videos that cover everything from making your binding strips to attaching the binding to the quilt with mitered corners as above. I’ve included links to the videos below
And, if you want to save this page for future reference you can pin the photo below.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Happy Quilting!

I would never have thought to use a floral for a binding but it is stunning. I adore the sashing on this quilt as well.

I thank you so much for this tutorial. I have tried so many binding methods and bought various binding "tools" trying to get the perfect binding on my quilts. Your tutorial did the trick. I've even used this method before with less than acceptable results. However, your clear explanation and demonstration finally hit home. For my current project I cut my binding strips 1 7/8 inches wide for a narrow binding. It's working very well. I am almost done sewing the binding to the back of the quilt. Thanks again for changing my life with this tutorial.

Is the pattern for this County Fair quilt one of yours? Is it available?
