Hello, friends! Today I’m sharing the Saturday Seven 362: Lifestyle & More for Quilters post. In this post you’ll find a roundup of inspirational and fun things I’ve found from around the internet over the past week. I’m hoping to spend some time in my sewing room this week–I have so many ideas after returning home from International Quilt Market!

Saturday Seven 362: Lifestyle & More for Quilters
1. Self-Care
“How to Recognize and Recover from Burnout” has lots of great ideas and tips to help get on track before the holidays arrive. Finally, the Time Warrior book I share in today’s podcast and book recommendations section has honestly been a self-care read for me–helping me to understand better about how to protect my time.
2. Recipes to Try
I heard about these Fish Tacos with Cabbage and Lime from Vanessa – Lella Boutique at quilt market and made them my first day home. I highly recommend them and will have them on rotation now. One recipe I’m going to try this week is this one for Slow-Cooker Scalloped Potatoes. Looks like a delicious time-saver! And I love a good sheet pan recipe–I’m also going to try this Sheet Pan Greek Chicken and Vegetables recipe from Our Best Bites (one of my favorite food bloggers for so many years)!
3. Quilt + Sew
I love sewing something fun and fast after Quilt Market–I’m just itching to quilt! This year I made Camilly Roskelley’s Berry Picking Mini using our Raspberry Summer collection. I absolutely loved the pattern and love it in our fabrics. It would also be super cute in Strawberry Lemonade fabrics. Find a tutorial for a little fabric strawberry here. The tutorial suggests Poly-fil fiberfill for stuffing, but Camille used walnut shells for the ones in her booth. Also, did you know today is International Scrap Sorting day? I’m definitely going to spend a little time with my scrap organization today–check out my process below.
4. Book & Podcast Recommendations
One of my favorite podcast listens from this week was the episode on “Taming Non-Work Tasks” with Cal Newport (I have lots of home projects that need attending to and got some super practical tips from the episode). I also started reading Time Warrior on the plane ride home from Quilt Market and absolutely love it!

6. International Quilt Market
I returned earlier this week from International Quilt Market in Houston, Texas, USA. I’ve already written a couple of posts on this event and will probably write a third one next week. The part 2 post linked below also has a fun video with several of the designers, and we will be sharing a second video with more designer booth interviews soon.
