Hello, friends! Today I’m sharing thoughts and photos from the past several days in my International Quilt Market 2024 Part 1 post. I returned home late last night and have been trying to catch up on all of the things while dealing with a power outage here earlier this morning and realizing I left my best glasses in the hotel room (sadly they will need to be replaced as they weren’t turned into the hotel). But the market was so amazingly wonderful, that not even a couple of minor inconveniences can sway me from still feeling all of the incredible energy and inspiration from market. Let’s get started with the review!
International Quilt Market 2024 Part 1
Travel Day and Booth Set Up
Last year we traveled to Houston on set-up day and were seriously sleep-deprived. So, this year we decided to fly in a day early and get rested up for all of the work and fun. Our flight was diverted to San Antonio, though, for about 30 minutes, so we got in just a little later than expected. We were super excited to have one of our fellow designers, Camille of Thimble Blossoms, on the flight with us and were able to get dinner together that first night.
Set up day was filled with some filming for the Moda pop-up film studio, the set-up of both of our booths, and a couple of meetings. Of course, the highlight of set-up day is always saying hello to everyone. (Most of whom we hadn’t seen in a year). We were also able to go to dinner with a nice group that evening and shared some amazing desserts, too!
Moda Winter Wonderland
I’ll be back soon to share the other Moda Designer booths from this year’s market. I think I actually might have gotten photos of all of them this year! There is some incredible inspiration in each of the booths. Additionally, we were able to film several of the designers. They shared even more details about their booths and will have those videos on the YouTube channel very soon!
Something Fun this Year–
This year my son Billy was also able to attend a little bit of Quilt Market. He was able to stop by for a bit on the opening day. He was also able to spend most of day three at the market. Of course, I can’t wait to hear his thoughts and perspectives when we share all about quilt market on the podcast!

Sherri, your booth is so happy. That is what I love about all of your fabric lines, they make me happy. And the entrance to the quilt show is beautiful! Some day I hope to make the trip from Washington State to the quilt market and show. And how special to get to have both of your children there with you. It must be great to get to work with them. We were able to see one of our sons at work in Seattle last Thursday. Makes a mama proud. Have a great day.

Great job you too. Love your booth. Camille is such a nice young lady. I enjoy her fabric line also. Love the Watermelon patchwork pattern. Watermelon is one of my favorite summer fruits.
