Hello, friends! Happy Saturday! IToday I’m sharing the Saturday Seven 344: Lifestyle & More for Quilters post. It’s going to be another hot weekend here in my part of the world which is all the more reason to stay in and sew (and do a little organizing in my sewing room). I hope you’ll enjoy this roundup of fun things I’ve found from around the internet this week. And I hope that you also have time to get some sewing done!

Saturday Seven 344: Lifestyle & More for Quilters
1. Self-Care
Looking to add more joy to your life? Here is a fun list of 25 Little Joys to Discover in Your Day. So many of them are simple to incorporate into your day. This post on what truly makes us happy was also fun to read this week.
2. Recipes to Try
This Easy Spaghetti Salad came recommended by a blogger whose recipe choices I always love–I’m making it today! I also really want to make a Tomato Burrata this week–it’s tomato season! And if you’re still looking for salad ideas for get-togethers next week, this round up of All of our Best Picnic Salads is amazing!
3. Quilt + Sew
Here is a tutorial for a darling ruffled baby bib (I have some baby sewing to do this summer for a family friend). I also found this tutorial for an elastic pencil pouch/bookmark project–such a good idea!
4. Book & Podcast Recommendations
Earlier this week I loved listening to the Greg McKeown podcast Part 1 and Part 2 of “The Hidden Power of Opting Out from Technology with Erin Loechner.” I’ve read Erin’s blog for years and loved her first book. There were so many insights from these podcast episodes (even for those who aren’t considering opting out from tech). I’ve ordered her new book–The Opt-Out Family: How to Give Your Kids What Technology Can’t and can’t wait to read it.
5. June Sew Sampler Box
This week the June Sew Sampler Box from Fat Quarter Shop arrived, and it is another fantastic one. I filmed a quick video to share the contents from the box and also shared the Liberty Box contents (they are still available) and a little bit about the upcoming Star of Wonder Mystery Quilt Sew Along with Fat Quarter Shop. Watch the video above or on our YouTube channel. And find the products linked below:

6. Mid-Year Check In
Do you do a mid-year check in with yourself? I actually do weekly, monthly and quarterly reviews, but my mid-year check in is one I spend quite a bit of time with. I actually started making notes for this a couple of weeks ago and am finishing up this weekend. I’ll be writing a more detailed blog post on this topic soon, but if you are interested in more of my regular systems and routines, you might enjoy these posts:
7. Recently on the Blog
This week was a very busy sew-week as I’ve been finishing up my quilts and projects to share with you in just a couple of weeks. But I did get a chance to publish two blog posts. Below you’ll find the links to those posts from earlier this week:
Thanks so much for stopping by to read the Saturday Seven 344: Lifestyle & More for Quilters post. If you are looking for more similar inspiration, you can find all of the previous posts in this series here.
Happy Quilting!

I love all your fabrics and patterns. I heard last week about your book you are selling signed, but I can’t find it anywhere on your site or Esty. I would love to buy one. I can’t find where on your site or Etsy. I’d appreciate it.
