Happy Tuesday! Thank you so much for the pumpkin block love yesterday! I spent most of yesterday doing boring stuff like cleaning my house and prepping for teaching my English class which begins today (I teach one class a semester at the community college; it’s part-time, but this semester I have 25 students enrolled and will end up with a lot of grading!
It seems like I’ve been going a mile a minute sewing with our Creekside
collection (which is shipping soon) and our The Front Porch collection. In fact, yesterday I shipped off a Christmas quilt which uses reds and greens from Desert Bloom, Creekside, and The Front Porch–it will be a while before I can share that, though! So some of my long-term scrappy projects have been patiently waiting for me to work on them.
I want to get back into my routine of working on scrap quilts on the weekend…but I also want to start some new projects! There really are so many quilts and so little time!
So today my task is to update my list of works in progress and my list of quilts I want to make. I’m also going to re-read a post I wrote a while ago on choosing a new quilting project.
Oh, and I’ve also got to piece the September block for the Quilting Life Mystery Block of the Month quilt!
Decisions, decisions! And since Christmas is less than four months away, maybe I should make my Christmas sewing list while I’m in the list-making mode!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

You are cracking me up Sherri…..I can't even catch up from 2 years ago and you are on super sewing….love it. Wish I could get as much done as you and love your organizational routines. Some really cute colors and blocks done and can't wait to see the finishes.

I just read your post as to how to choose new projects / inventory. "I think I can..I think I can..I think I can…"

Beautiful, as always. This is my most favorite pattern, been doing it for about 20 years. The quilts always look good.

There're so many quilts on my wish-to-do-list I think I could be busy sewing each day straight for the next 20 years and still have some projects on it;-) I recently managed to quilt and bind some mini quilts I've made for the Schnibbles parade 2012 (!) so I think there's hope that someday in the future I don't have any UFOs left (yeah, I don't believe that one either;-) But pulling out WIPs and working on them now and then is part of the fun.

Sometimes those decisions can be overwhelming, but I'm so amazed at how you handle your 'must makes' with your 'fun makes'! My main object is to sew little quilts for charity, plus a few bigger ones for home and family. Sometimes I need a reminder in that area :)!

I think most of us are guilty of hopping from one project to another as another one pops up that we cannot resist, love what you are doing
