I’m calling this quilt Summer’s End…something about the colors just remind me of a summer getting ready to turn to fall. I really heart this quilt and had a lot of fun putting it together (fabric Meadowsweet 2 by Sandi Henderson and pattern “June Bug” by Camille). I can’t wait to figure out the outer border and get it quilted. I ordered two different outer border fabrics to audition; I also have to decide whether or not to put some of the applique’s in the border as well (there are several in the border on the pattern)…I might need to make them out of the background fabric so I’ll have enough contrast…so I have a few more decisions to make on this quilt!
And speaking of decisions…I have the winners from my giveaway. I appreciated reading all of the comments and feedback on what you’d like to see posted…thanks so much for the great ideas. I really wish Blogger’s comments were numbered…it’s kind of hard on the eyes to count and count again…but here are the four winners in the order they were drawn… Luv 2 Create, Terriaw, Victoria Miller, and Laurie…congrats to all of you! I’ll be e-mailing you in order to get your prize choices. Hope you have a wonderful day!

Hi Sherri!
Oh, you're awesome – your Meadowsweet Bug is great! I'm sure you'll find the perfect border.
Loved your last post – it's so much fun to follow your process…
I once added the css to have my comments numbered…can't find the tutorial I used but maybe this one helps (for next time's giveaway ;o) ):

This is simply beautiful. The fabrics remind me of a fruit salad or parfait. What a stunning stunning table cloth this would make. 🙂 I'm really eager to see how you quilt this.

This is going to be a beautiful quilt — I love the peek at the blocks.
As for numbering comments, I seem to remember that if I do a cut and paste of my comments into MS Word, they will be numbered? Anyway, it's something like that, you might need to experiment a little.

What a beautiful quilt, a tangible memory of Summer 2010. 🙂 Love it! Congratulations tot he winners. I am behind on my commenting, but wanted to say thanks for the applique tutorial. I haven't tried to do applique yet on my machine, and my handwork is usually dedicated to my cross stitch and hexagon piecing. I definitely want to try it! When you asked about what people wanted to read about on your blog, I should have added to my answer that I'd love to see how you decorate with your quilts. You have such fantastic taste in quilt fabrics and patterns, that I'd love to see how you use them in your home. I can imagine that your house must be a quilty masterpiece! 😉

LOVE your site! And all that goes with it. I cannot throw away hardly a crumb! The little ones I keep in a bag by themselves. The really great scraps (!) are sorted by color. This sometimes becomes confused when I'm using them (should this print be in the yellows or the oranges?). But no matter – it is just FUN to revisit them all and recall the joy of the project.
