I love the June Tisket a Tasket block designed by Anne of Bunny Tales..actually, each month I think the latest block is my favorite, until the new one comes out! Now that I have six blocks completed, I can put together the top half of the quilt!
Even though it’s been pretty busy around here, I managed to finish a much-needed household project. Back when I first started blogging I won an ironing board cover kit and pattern from Nadine at The Material Girls Quilt Shop. Well, last week I finally got tired of my old, stained cover and made this! I love it…looking at this fun Michael Miller print actually makes ironing fun…sort of (of course all ironing is fun if it’s quilt-related…it’s just the normal, every day ironing that isn’t always so fun)!
And…we survived graduation! Here is a four-generation picture of me, Chelsi, my Mom and my Grandmother. Now that all the festivities are over and summer has arrived there should be lots of sewing going on here!
Have a wonderful day!

You've just reminded me that I must get at my T-A-T blocks now that all my swap gifts are done. I'm two months behind, but actually 4 blocks because I do one in all cotton and the other in wool on cotton.
What a beautiful photo of the 4 generations of the women in your family.
Your ironing board cover is wonderful. I wouldn't want to use it!

It's so true that ironing is fun if it's quilt related! I thought I hated it, but nope–just hate ironing clothes!

I love that ironing board cover. I just had to replace mine, but it's just plain. I should have gotten some fun fabric instead.

I love your basket. I am not doing the basket a month thing but I love seeing them. This months is DEFINITELY my favorite so far. I think I can say with certainty that I will NEVER make my own ironing board cover, as cute as yours is….I would rather be sewing something ELSE! Congratulations to the graduate. Congratulations to your daughter on her graduation! That is huge! What next? That basket block is cute. Are you going to put all of them into one quilt? I desperately need a new cover for my ironing board, but I'm too lazy to make one. Good for you!

I love your block. I had great intentions to do the block of the month and keep up but it's not happening. I will have to be satisfied looking at everyone else's.

First I have to tell you, you are so lucky to have 4 generations. What a Blessing.
Your block is so cute, I've made copies of them all, but not one started.

Congrats to Chelsi! Nice 4 generation picture. 🙂 I love how your ironing board cover turned out, not to mention your block 6 of Anne's BOM. I still have to get my block 6 done & do my hand stitching on all of them. Where do you find the time? LOL I for sure have too many irons in the fire!
Nanette Merrill and daughters says
Aw I love the 4 generations picture. If things work out, you could have 5 generations there in a few years! I know, bite my tongue.
The ironing board cover is great. I won that too at Material Girls. I didn't ever get my pattern but I do have fabric. I need to do it NOW! My ironing board cover is awful. Nedra's coming on the 19th to my house so that might motivate me.
Your June block is cuter than Anne's! shhh I won't tell.
Candace says
Love that T-A-T, Sherri! And the ironing board cover has me drooling – great fabric! How wonderful that you have 4 generations of women still together – what a beautiful picture!

Way too late – but CONGRATS to the graduate! What a beautiful picture of you four…!
Ah, the ironing board reminds me that I already bought some fabric from IKEA to cover my ugly & dirty ironing board…it looks at me reproachfully everytime I pull it out of the closet…;O)
Your basket is just SWEET (heehee) – and I totally know what you mean, I always think the next block can't be cuter than the last but when it's published I'm proved wrong….*g*
