Happy Fabric Friday! I have a few pieces of “fabric inspiration” to share today–and then I have some informational links at the end of the post. So here goes! First is this lovely bundle of Avalon by Joanna Figueroa of Fig Tree and Company. I’ve made a few projects for Joanna using these fabrics, and I can’t wait to sew something for my home using this collection!
Next up is this beautiful fabric by Heather Mulder Peterson. Nanette has been using it for her background for Lori’s row along. I have loved seeing this fabric in every row and finally had to order a yard for my stash–problem is, now that it’s here I don’t want to use it for fear I won’t be able to find any more!
Some of my favorite Amy Butler prints are in this stash; I was running low on all of these pieces, so I ordered a little of each to have “just in case.”
And here are three of my favorite Joel Dewberry prints out now…the plaids and large floral just say “spring to me!”
Also, a few Summersville pieces by Lucie Summers for Moda–I thought I might need a little more variety of low volume prints for the cross border of my Marcelle Medallion.
And…above are some “low volume” prints I’ve been using lately. I have a post today about low volume and text prints over at the Moda Cutting Table blog!
and Alex Anderson and Ricky Tims, hosts of The Quilt Show, want quilters, sewers
and crafters to help us celebrate International Quilting Day by seeing what’s
going on in today’s quilting world. They are opening up free access to over 140
of their shows from their www.thequiltshow.com website beginning Friday, March
15, through Sunday, March 17, and there will be terrific prizes from companies
we know and love like Bernina, GAmmill, Superior Threads, AccuQuilt, C&T
Publishing, RJR Fabric. Ricky and Alex will have gift baskets to give away too.
The grand prize is a new BErnina 550QE sewing machine!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Everytime I visit your blog I suffer from Fabric Envy and the 'Oh no, I don't have enough' syndrome.. or 'why haven't I got any of those colours' effects… but what you make is beautiful and I have to visit even under sufferance of the above :o)

I've had my Summerville set aside for a low volume quilt. It's perfect for that!
Ok, now I'm drooling over those plaids. Must have! But I gotta wait until after Easter. I gave up fabric buying for Lent. Yes, I'm THAT crazy! So far I'm good.
But look out April 1st!!!! The debit card will be WORN OUT!

Gorgeous fabrics. I was wondering how much you order when purchasing fabric? Do you purchase yardage, fat quarters ect?

Wonderful fabrics! I've just heard Joanna speak at the Norwegian Quilt Associaton annual meeting tonight 🙂 and she had even noticed we carry her patterns in our shop 🙂

Lovely stash. I have a lot of those in mine too. I just love that plaid by Joel Dewberry!

So good to see where the fabric Nanette is using came from, I've been coveting it since she started. I'll have to order some as well. What is the appropriate amount to hoard? I need help.

Your article on choosing fabric and prairie points were a great help to me. I am new to quilting so those kinds of articles are always bookmarked. Thanks.
