Happy Wednesday! I’m finally feeling like I’m doing a little better–thank you for all the well wishes. Last night I finally had a little energy to sew and added two more borders to my “Marcelle Medallion” quilt.
The border after the flying geese border is comprised of 92 “bricks,” and I was able to use a different fabric for each one. I love that border! The outer border (right now) is an Anna Maria Horner print from her Innocent Crush collection. The AMH fabric had been sitting in my stash waiting patiently for the right project for over a year–it was good to put it to use. At first I thought it might be too “busy” for the quilt, but since the next border is mostly low-volume light fabrics I think it’s going to work out fine. After the low-volume/cross border there is a small solid outer border, and then I’ll be finished!
And this morning I finished up the leaf row for Lori’s row along. It was row 7, but I just hadn’t gotten around to making it. Now I can start setting the rows together, yay!
I thought it would be fun to link up today with the WIP Wednesday group at Freshly Pieced...this is my first time linking up, and I’m excited to look at all of the other works in progress!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you are well and that you get to do a little sewing today…it really does make everything so much better when you can sew for fun!

I am working on the basket row and still have the leaves to day. Been putting that one off. But I've started sewing the rows together and they look really cute!

Glad to hear you are doing better and yes, nothing like sewing therapy to make you feel better and put a smile on your face.
I received my book today! I was so excited and you were a doll to write a sweet note and sign it! Love it and your medallion quilt above. : )
