Hello, friends! Today I’m sharing my September 2026 Favorites + Fall Sewing ideas and plans. I’ve been so motivated by the beginning of the fall season and the start of the final quarter of the year–I really do feel that for me fall is the new January! I’ve been taking a look back at recent favorites and also looking forward to my sewing plans for this season. I’m sharing this post just a bit earlier than I usually do because I’m sharing a brand-new fabric collection on Friday–stay tuned for that.

Made in September 2026
I won’t be able to begin sharing most of my September 2026 sewing projects until this Friday. But along with sewing lots of things with the new fabrics we will be sharing, I’ve also been sewing a lot with our Birch & Willow collection. It was nice that this collection shipped just in time for making all of the fall things! I’ll be sharing a couple of those recent Birch & Willow finishes with you soon, too!
Things I’m Loving Right Now
Here are the things I’m loving right now…
- First…it finally cooled enough so I can take my walks in the mornings! We may still hit 100 once more this weekend, but at least our evenings are cooling down.
- Next…The Unselected Journals of Emma M. Lion–I’m almost finished with the first eight books and will have to wait until February for Volume 9 to be published.
- Also…These bins for the pantry–I have kitchen and yard trash bags in them, and it’s been so nice! They would also work for lots of other items.
- Another book…Homemaking with Babs has beautiful photography, tips for homemakers of any age, and lots of organization and system tips for making things runs smoothly and look beautiful at home.
- And finally…our new fabric collection that we will be sharing on Friday–I’ve been sewing with this since July and have had a hard time keeping it under wraps 🙂
Fall Sewing Plans
I’m super excited to start working on some old and new projects this fall. Projects on my list right now include:
- Finishing my 2026 A Quilting Life block of the Month
- Finishing my Midsummer version of my Poinsettia Stars Block of the Month Quilt
- Sewing Along with Moda Blockheads 7 beginning in early October
- Finishing (finally) my Moda Blockheads 6 quilt
- And last, but not least, making a new king-sized Christmas quilt using our Poinsettia & Pear Fabrics
