Hello, friends! Today I’m sharing the Saturday Seven 360: Lifestyle & More for Quilters post which contains a round-up of interesting and inspiring finds from around the internet. I’m most happy to share, too, that fall has finally arrived in my corner of the world. We got some beautiful rain early yesterday morning and also had a high temperature only in the seventies! Perfect sewing weather! Keep reading for this week’s finds. I’ll be doing my last-minute quilt market preparations and am hoping to even get a head-start on my packing. But first, sewing!

Saturday Seven 360: Lifestyle & More for Quilters
1. Self-Care
I try to walk several times a week for my physical and mental health. But I’m usually listening to either a podcast or music when I walk. This post made me think that perhaps I should walk without any tech. And I loved this piece on “Six Ways to Cultivate Joy in a Challenging World.”
2. Recipes to Try
I’m starting to look for recipes for a crowd (Thanksgiving is just around the corner), and this Sheet Pan Crispy Breakfast Potatoes looks perfect for our extended family breakfast. And this Easy Turkey Chili looks like a healthy fall chili dish. I’m also going to have to try these Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffins very soon!
3. Quilt + Sew
Laguna Sunrise precuts are in the shop. I also have been adding my own curated bundles on Friday evenings. Check out the shop here. Now that all of my Laguna Sunrise packages have shipped, I can also share that I have a new pattern in the shop perfect for this collection (the sample is being worked on now). Find the Laguna Stars pattern in the shop now in both paper and PDF. This beginner friendly design finishes at and is Layer Cake, Fat Eighth, or Fat Quarter Friendly! Buy any Layer Cake, Fat Eighth or Fat Quarter Bundle from my shop while supplies last and get this pattern free. (Just leave a comment with your order mentioning the free pattern offer and I’ll add it in)! And finally–I loved seeing how this designer decorated her craft shed with beautiful quilts!
4. Book & Podcast Recommendations
I have so much to share in this category today! Two time-management books I had on pre-order both arrived last week, and I was able to get them both read. My favorite was Meditations for Mortals: Four Weeks to Embrace Your Limitations and Make Time for What Counts by Oliver Burkeman. This book was seriously so good! I thought I could read a chapter a day as suggested but then devoured it in two days! There are so many great ideas. It’s definitely a must-read.
I also enjoyed Kendra Adachi’s The Plan: Manage Your Time Like a Lazy Genius. Same topic, and a good read also.
5. Brightly Sampler Sew Along with our Family Favorites Book
I’m super excited to share that our Brightly Sampler Sew Along will begin on Thursday, October 24th. I will have a post and video up that day (be sure to stop by here and on YouTube to see my blocks and Chelsi’s blocks). I also have some resources for you now if you are thinking of sewing along with us.
- Download a PDF with the fabric requirements and a coloring page here.
- Find our Family Favorites Quilt Book here.
- Find kits in Laguna Sunrise for the Brightly Sampler here.
- And find a backing set for the Brightly Sampler here.
6. King of Christmas Trees, Wreaths, Garlands, and More
I don’t often accept paid or product promotions, but when I do it’s definitely something I have experience with and love. I was recently gifted a beautiful pre-lit Christmas tree from King of Christmas. I’ve actually purchased from this company before and love their products. To see how easy it is to set up one of their pre-lit trees, watch my recent video above. You can shop trees, garlands, wreaths, mini trees and more with both lit and unlit options here.

I LOVE Saturday sevens! I have read several of the book suggestions and made several of the recipes. Not one disappointment!
