Now that I’m home and semi-recovered from vacationing, I’m hoping to get back on track with my “Wednesday Works in Progress” posts. Since I have less than two weeks of summer vacation left, I’m also in a mad dash to finish some new things and wrap up a few older works in progress! Before leaving for Washington D.C. I started working on my “Jumping Jacks” quilt using Fig Tree scraps.
I finished up my second block this morning and have one more ready to sew. I’ll need to set them together and decide on fabrics for the next few blocks then. The quilt has 12 blocks, and I’m hoping I can finish it by the end of next week.
I also did some sewing the other day with some Miss Kate jelly roll strips. I sure do love this fabric. No matter the combination, these fabrics always look good together!
I won’t be able to share this fun project until next week, but I used a Moda Snuggles for the backing, and am in love with how soft it is. Seriously, why did it take me so long to back a quilt in this yummy fabric? I definitely need a quilt with this for backing.
I’m binding my quilt with this sweet rose on pink from the Bonnie & Camille collection Vintage Modern. It’s great when you can mix and match collections!
I’m also planning on binding my “Homestead” quilt so I can get it on the wall…and will also be finishing up two mini quilts from about a year ago.
Hope your Wednesday involves some quilting. Thanks so much for stopping by!
