I spent a little time cleaning up in the sewing room over the weekend, and it has been amazing to see the effect it had on my quilting! I’m more focused and have been getting things finished up in a pretty timely manner; if only I could remember to do a major clean up a little more often!
I’ve started a few projects I’ll be sharing soon, but I’ve also had a few finishes…
My “Century Farm” quilt in Vintage Modern is ready to be shipped off to its new owner…
It’s kind of hard to send this one off…I love it so much. Luckily I still have a bundle of this fabric collection, but I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to cut into it!
I’m also ready to hand-stitch the binding on my “Stems” quilt. This quilt just says “autumn” to me because of the Fig Tree Somerset prints. I know it could say any of the other seasons with different fabric choices, so maybe I’ll have to make three more versions! I love it that much!
I finished up the fourth block for the quilt along I mentioned the other day; the mittens were so much fun to make. The next block, an adorable gingerbread man, has already been posted, so I’ll need to get sewing that!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

I wish I was better at instagram! I think I'm following this block series – it is so terribly cute! The tree is wonderful. I need to try to get caught up. Your fabric choices are dead-on as usual. You're very talented.

Every once in a while we need to do that : ) It's good to inspire us I think

The stem pattern is so much fun and I already cut out fabrics for four different seasonal versions, too. Let's see perhaps I can finish the sewing part this weekend!

I can see why you have a hard time sending the quilt away, it's gorgeous! Lovely stem quilt as well, and those Christmas blocks are adorable! I think I need a project clean-up in my sewingroom right now. I have too many projects at the moment, and it seems like I'm not getting anywhere with any of them….

Your sewing space looks like a clean slate. I do my best to clean up a bit after each project, which does help my mental state to start another project. LOL.
The Century Farm quilt and the Stems quilt both look wonderful…so cheerful.
Your LoriBee blocks look great too. How I wish I could SAL, but I have so many things I really need to finish. They look great.
TFS.

I am glad to hear that a little clean up helped with your inspiration. You sharing this helped me consider if that might be part of my lack of desire to create. Your projects are looking fabulous!

Gorgeous quilts as always Sherri, I'm always in awe of your fabric choices. With you re Instagram Julie! – Perhaps I should ask someone younger for help. 🙂

Tidy the sewing room? Umm, no. I just move to another room! I think that might be where I'm going wrong. Your space definitely looks warm and inviting 🙂

I love the Moda April Showers fat quarter bundle. I like the versatility of fat quarters.

I was wondering what method you used to attach your binding. What size strip do you cut? No matter what I do, the mitre corners never look as neat as yours.
